Háskólatorg, Aðalbygging, Askja and Gróska
The University of Iceland opens its doors to the public on Saturday 1 March 2025 between 12 and 3 p.m.
Come and get to know the University of Iceland's wide range of studies. The University of Iceland offers almost 400 undergraduate and graduate studies. Representatives from various support services will be present at the University Centre for advice, and information on the manifold service and the colourful social life open to University students.
Visitors can acquaint themselves with the University’s varied curriculum, operation and services. Research scientists and students from all University Faculties answer questions on just about anything!
Presentation of study programmes is by school and is located in the following buildings:
- School of Health Sciences: Gróska
- School of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Askja
- School of Education: University Centre, 2. fl.
- School of Humanities: Mainbuilding, 2. fl.
- School of Social Sciences: University Centre, 2. fl.
Hólar University presents their study on 2. fl. at University Centre.
Furthermore, the University of Akureyri, Agricultural University of Iceland in Hvanneyri and Bifröst present their study programmes in University Centre.
Representatives from the Student Councelling Centre, International Division, and Student Registration will be available in the University Centre, 2nd floor. Also present are representatives from the Student Council, and the Icelandic Student Services offering information on housing, kindergarten, and other services for students.
Bifröst University, Reykjavík University, and the Iceland University of the Arts will present their courses at the University Centre 1st floor.
Reykjavík University will also present their study programme on their own campus in Öskjuhlíð and the Iceland University of the Arts in their buildings in Laugarnesvegur.
Hopp offers free trips between the schools during the day.
This day is open to all and admission is free.
