I teach and do research with a focus on governance of environment and natural resources on public policy, institutions, livelihoods, environment/development, and sustainability with an interdisciplinary focus. I have worked on wide array of environmental challenges and multiple types of natural resources such as forests, fish, conservation, land-use in general and renewable energy. Much focus has been on common-pool resources and their systems of governance. I have international scope on my work, and quite a focus has been on Sub-Saharan Africa.
