I work both at the School of Engineering and Natural Science (Faculty of Physical Sciences) and School of Education (Faculty of Subject Teacher Education) and divide my time between two offices in Tæknigarður (315) and Stakkahlíð (K-203).
My research focuses on the collaboration between unviersity and upper secondary school mathematics teachers, the design of rich mathematical tasks for upper secondary school students, the use of digital technology (e.g., GeoGebra, Desmos, and AR) to support students' learning of mathematics, teacher noticing, pre-service and in-service teachers' implementation of the Building Thinking Classroom practices, and the design of mathematics teacher professional development courses.
I have been an active participant in the Nordic-Baltic GeoGebra Network since 2012, collaborated with the GeoGebra Institute in Linz since 2016, and regularly participate in conferences such as CERME, ICTMT, and MEDA. Also, I participate in an international collaboration project between four universities regarding the development of studies for prospective mathematics teachers, funded by Nordplus Higher Education.
