Abstract

My research has primarily focused on the Icelandic economy. I have examined many aspects of it, including the pension system and especially the return on its assets, the stock market and its efficiency, demographic development and its impact on the economy, migration, both within the country and internationally. Additionally, I have written about game theory, corporate governance, and calendar effects on asset markets. I have also written a number of reports on various issues and three textbooks.

Abstract

I´m a Professor at the School of Social Science. My research broadly focuses on gendered organizations, gender based violence, masculinities, femininities, and gendered power relations. Over the years, I have participated in many Nordic and European research projects. I served as Co-PI for the Icelandic part of GARCIA, Gendering the Academy and Research: combating Career Instability and Asymmetries funded by EU FP7. Currently I´m a Co-I in GEiO, Gender Equitable Interactions Online, funded by Chanse, and a PI in UISH, Understanding and Intervening against Sexual Harassment at work, funded by Nordforsk.
