Dr Eva Kuttner was on panel about societal outreach in higher education at the conference of the Icelandic Agency for Quality Assurance
Representatives of the University of Iceland at Hólar took part in the annual conference of the Icelandic Agency for Quality Assurance on Wednesday 2 September. The theme of this year’s conference was societal impact and outreach in higher education.
Dr Eva Kuttner, research director at the University of Iceland at Hólar, presented a project aimed at developing study options in aquaculture, which was carried out in collaboration with industry stakeholders. Eva also took part in a panel discussion about cooperation between universities and industry in research and educational development. The panel also included Áslaug Ásgeirsdóttir, Rector of the University of Akureyri; Rögnvaldur Sæmundsson, Pro-Rector of Science at the University of Iceland; Ólafur Eysteinn Sigurjónsson, Pro-Rector of Research, Innovation and Industry Relations at Reykjavík University; Eva María Árnadóttir, Director of Society and Sustainability at the Iceland University of the Arts; Hulda Hallgrímsdóttir from the Federation of Icelandic Industries; and Ingvar Freyr Ingvarsson, economist at BHM.
