Last month, professor Ólafur Pétur Pálsson, vice chair of the University council, assumed the position of president of NORDTEK for the next two years. NORDTEK is a network of universities in the Nordic and Baltic countries that offer education in advanced engineering up to the Master level and PhD in a technical research field. 28 universities are a part of the network.
Every year, NORDTEK hosts a conference on interesting subjects related to the universities‘ activity. This year the conference took place in Vilnius and was titled “Green and Digital University Transformation”. Gathered there were students, international officers and chancellors along with deans of the participating schools. In addition to an annual conference, NORDTEK’s governing council holds regular meetings where common interests of the universities are discussed.
