Have you heard that it is impossible to learn Icelandic? Do you think that it is true?

Icelandic did not drop down from the heavens   ̶  it is closely related to languages you may already know. In the first half of this session we will look at the Icelandic vocabulary and focus on words we have in common with other languages such as English, German and the Scandinavian languages. The second half will be dedicated to pronunciation and some basic survival vocabulary. By the end of the session, you'll be able to pronounce Eyjafjallajökull!

We look forward to welcoming you! We hope you will leave this introduction with a "feel-good" feeling about learning Icelandic.
