The graduate programmes in Environment and Natural Resources are international and interdisciplinary programmes, organised jointly by all the five schools of the University of Iceland: Education, Engineering and Natural Sciences, Health Sciences, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
Due to the interdisciplinary structure of the ENR Programme, students with different backgrounds are accepted and they graduate from different Faculties, depending on their focus as well as their thesis advisor's home faculty. The language of instruction is English and the students come from all over the world.
Academic staff members are directly employed by the Environment and Natural Resources Programme and located within various Faculties of the University. The Programme Board includes representatives from all five Schools of the University of Iceland, appointed according to the specific regulation on the programmes (Regulation no. 214-2011).
