The Holiday Season is upon us so the University Concert series offers a true Christamas joy at noon on Wednesday 13 December. The singers Rebekka Blöndal and Ragnheiður Gröndal will perform Christmas carols by Ella Fizgerald with feeling but her Christmas albums are very popular and a classic during the Holidays.

The concert takes place in Stakkahlíð, the School of Education. The concert takes place in Skáli opposite the Háma cantine. This is a farewell tribute to the building as the School will relocate to Saga in the new year. So lets enjoy each others company in the winter sun with joy in our hearts.

The concert begins at 12.15 pm. There is a live stream from the concert and a recording will be made available on the concert website. So whether you are in the city, out in the country or anywhere else in the world you can enjoy the wonderful sound from the University concert series and get a taste of the atmosphere on campus. The concert is open to all and free of charge.

The current University concert series began in autumn 2020 with new emphasis and artists from all kinds of genre have performed. There has been a successful live stream of all the concerts and recordings can be found here.

The organiser and artistic director is Arnar Eggert Thoroddsen. He says he is guided by the slogan "University for all - Music for all". Arnar says he takes his slogan seriously and will reflect it in the programme.
