The University of Iceland’s Long Night against Procrastination will take place on Thursday, March 24th from 18:00 – 22:00 at the National and University Library.

Instead of working alone, students can join their peers in a supportive atmosphere. The event offers all students at the University of Iceland assistance and information about completing their assignments and theses, no matter how large or small.

  • Student Counseling and Career Center – practical advice for project organization and wellness
  • The University of Iceland libraries – assistance and information on finding sources and much more

Shut up and write! – 40-minute writing sprints

EndNote - Reference Management support – Individual assistance for EndNote users who are using the software and have some problems

The purpose of the Long Night:

  • Give students the opportunity to work on their assignments outside of normal school hours in a supportive environment.
  • Draw attention to the anxiety that students around the world feel about academic writing that leads many to drop out.
  • Highlight the assistance students can receive at every step of the writing process and support those who postponed starting their writing assignments.

The Long Night against Procrastination is sponsored by the University of Iceland Center for Writing, the Student Counseling and Career Center, The School of Education library, the National and University Library and the Health Sciences library.
