The International Days 2017 will be held during the week of 6-10 November. The programme includes exciting lectures and presentations, a movie night, a pub-quiz, stand-up and more. There will also be an international theme in Háma and the Student Cellar. The aim of the International Days is to emphasise the various international opportunities for students, teachers and staff, which are made possible through the university’s active participation in international cooperation.
The International Day itself will be celebrated at the University Centre on Wednesday 8 November at 11:30-13:30. There students can learn about exchange studies, traineeships and summer schools, as well as further studies abroad. Students will get the chance to speak to other students who have previously gone on an exchange and current international exchange students. Representatives from embassies and various Icelandic organisations will also be attending. The different Schools and Faculties of the university will be able to assist students and answer questions about studies abroad. Furthermore, university staff members can learn about teacher and staff exchange programmes, along with other possibilities through Erasmus+.
Musical acts and dances will bring multicultural mood to the event, and international food and drinks will be on offer. Students will also get the chance to enter a lottery where they can for example win an airline ticket to Europe.
