The University of Iceland School of Health Sciences is hosting their third conference on innovation on Friday 17 November in Veröld - Vigdís' house and registration is now open. The conference is open for everyone, within or outside of the UI, who wants to present a project or an idea on innovation in health sciences.
The conference programme will include oral and poster sessions and an exciting key note lecture. There is no conference fee but participants must register.
The conference on innovation in health sciences was last held in 2015. The programme included presentations on 30 diverse innovation projects in four sessions. Illugi Gunnarsson, the minister of education, science and culture gave an opening speech and Tatjana Latinovic, vice president of intellectual property at Össur gave the key note lecture.
Scientists from all Faculties of the School of Health sciences have presented their work at the conference. People from other institutions and companies also participated, for example from the UI School of Engineering and Natural Sciences, UI The Science Institute, Reykjavik University, Iceland Academy of the Arts, Landspitali, Icelandic Blood Bank and Össur.
Registration has been opened and abstracts can be submitted. The deadline for abstract submission is 10 October.
