A total of 2108 candidates receive their diplomas in both undergraduate and graduate studies from the University of Iceland in Laugardalshöll, on Saturday 25 June. There will be two ceremonies:

The first ceremony, at 10.30, is for graduate students when 826 graduates receive their diplomas from 834 programmes. The graduation ceremony is for students who are completing their graduate studies, i.e. MA, M.Ed. and MS degrees and candidatus. Among the graduates are the first students to graduate with an MIS degree in Information Science from the School of Social Sciences and an MS degree in Experimental Physics from the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences.

The latter ceremony, at 2 pm, is for undergraduate students who are completing BA, B.Ed. and BS degrees. A total of 1282 candidates complete their studies receiving 1293 diplomas.

The total of graduating students from the University of Iceland on 25 June is thus 2108 receiving 2127 diplomas.

The diplomas will be awarded in the following order by schools: School of Social Sciences, School of Health Sciences, School of Humanities, School of Education, and School of Engineering and Natural Sciences. Diplomas from the School of Social Sciences will be 712 in total, 432 from the School of Health Sciences, 202 from the School of Humanities, 403 from the School of Education, and 378 from the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences.

The graduates from the University of Iceland in February were 410 in total making the total number this year of graduating students from the University of Iceland 2518.
