A large number of people visited the Main Building of the University of Iceland today to collect their degree certificates at the University´s third graduation this year. This time, 216 candidates graduated from both undergraduate and graduate studies.
There is no formal ceremony for the University´s October graduation; candidates are, however, invited to collect their degree certificates from the University’s Ceremonial Hall in the Main Building. A big part of the candidates used this opportunity and came, all dressed up, to the Main Building, many accompanied by their families, to celebrate an important and great achievement.
On this occasion, 81 candidates are graduating from the School of Social Sciences, 37 from the School of Health Sciences, 43 from the School of Humanities, 35 from the School of Education and 20 from the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences. Therefore, all in all, 216 students joined the group of 462 candidates who graduated in February and the 2,779 candidates who graduated from Laugardalshöll this summer. The University has thus graduated a total of 3,457 candidates from undergraduate and graduate studies in 2025.
The University of Iceland congratulates all candidates on their accomplishment and wishes them good luck in the future.
