About the Fund

The Þuríður J. Kristjánsdóttir Scholarship and Research Fund was established under the umbrella of the University of Iceland Scholarship Funds in 2019. The endowment capital was donated by Þuríður Jóhanna Kristjánsdóttir, a former professor and pro-rector at the Iceland University of Education, who passed away in 2018. In her will, she left her house and other property to the University of Iceland, for the purpose of establishing a scholarship fund.
