University Day 2026 - Open house at the University of Iceland

The University of Iceland opens its doors to the public on Saturday, 28 February 2026, between 12 and 3 p.m.

Discover the University of Iceland's diverse range of academic programmes. The University of Iceland offers almost 400 undergraduate and graduate study programmes. Visitors can acquaint themselves with the University’s varied curriculum, operation and services.

Research scientists and students from all university faculties will be on hand to answer questions on just about anything!

Don’t miss out when the University opens its doors wide – come and explore exciting study programmes that open the door to the world of work.

Presentations of study programmes are by school and will be located in the following buildings:

• School of Social Sciences: University Centre
• School of Health Sciences: Saga
• School of Humanities: University centre. Litla torg
• School of Education: Saga
• School of Engineering and Natural Sciences: Askja

Representatives from the Student Counselling Centre, International Division, and Student Registration will be available in the University Centre (2nd floor). Also present will be representatives from the Student Council, and the Icelandic Student Services offering information on housing, preschools, and other services for students.

Furthermore, Hólar University will present its study programmes in the University Centre.

Bifröst University, the University of Akureyri, the Agricultural University of Iceland in Hvanneyri, and Iceland University of the Arts present their study programmes in Saga.

Reykjavík University will also present its study programmes on its own campus in Öskjuhlíð, and Iceland University of the Arts will present its programmes in its buildings in Stakkahlíð.

Hopp scooters will be free of charge when travelling between the campuses.

This day is open to all, and admission is free.
