UI students can apply for Erasmus+ travel and subsistence grant for exchange at select partner universities in countries outside the EU for the 2025-26 academic year.
The grants are intended for students that apply for exchange studies at the following universities:
- University of Sussex, Brighton, UK
- University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK
- University of Aberdeen, Aberdeen, UK
- University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada
- University of Washington, Seattle, USA
- National University Singapore, Singapore
- Edith Cowan University, Perth, Australia
- University of Melbourne, Melbourne, Australia
Students apply for the Erasmus+ grant in the exchange application by choosing Erasmus+ when selecting the host university in the application form. Limited places are available at each university and evaluation rules will be followed when allocating places and grants.
Students may apply for a top-up grant for students with fewer opportunities if they fulfil the eligibility criteria. Those who are eligible receive a top-up amount to the subsistence grant.

*The travel grant is a fixed amount regardless of real costs of travel. If the travel grant only covers 70% of actual travel costs or less, even though you have chosen the most economical way of travelling, you may apply for additional support for expensive travel.
