Western-Icelandic Heritage: Reverend Bragi and Stephan G Stephanson’s Prescience

Reverend Bragi and Western Icelanders. Hrannar Bragi Eyjólfsson briefly outlines Rev. Bragi Friðriksson’s biography. He was called to serve as minister for Western Icelanders in Canada (1953-1956). Rev. Bragi was president of the INL in Iceland (1974-1980) and served on the Western Icelandic liaison-committee of Iceland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1974-1997). Hrannar promotes and autographs his recent book Séra Bragi. 

Age of Idealism or Age of Violence. About Stephan G. Stephansson, War and Peace. Viðar Hreinsson renders how astute Stephan G. Stephansson was in his predictions in prose and poetry that a pending cycle of violence and war was imminent due to cultivation of an ideology that dissociates actions from expressed words, anticipating philosopher Hanna Arendt. Viðar is the award-winning author of Stephansson's biography.

This is an INL in Iceland event, in collaboration with the Vigdís Institute.
