Theme 2025: Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education

The Teaching Academy of Public Universities invites you to its annual conference on Friday, 21 November 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Veröld – House of Vigdís.

The conference is intended for everyone interested in teaching and learning in higher education — faculty, students, and academic leaders. The program includes presentations, discussions, and case studies that explore the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence in university teaching and learning.
The conference will be held primarily in Icelandic, with several sessions in English.
Please note that sessions will not be streamed or recorded.

At 16:00, new members of the Teaching Academy will be formally welcomed, receiving a certificate of recognition. This ceremony marks the conclusion of the conference.

This year's hosts are members of the Teaching Academy from the School of Health Sciences at the University of Iceland.

Attendance is free of charge and open to all, but registration is required for planning purposes. Coffee and tea will be available throughout the day, and light refreshments will be served after the closing ceremony.
