There are two annual deadlines for applications for Erasmus+ traineeship grants: 15 May and 15 November each year (or the next working day if the deadline falls on a public holiday).
The application deadline for stays starting in the autumn semester: 15 May
The application deadline for stays starting in the spring semester: 15 November
Applications received before the deadline have priority. Applications are accepted after the deadline, and those applications are answered as they come in, and grants are allocated if there is enough funding available. Applications should be submitted at least eight weeks prior to the planned start date.
Graduating students must apply for the grant no later than two months before their intended graduation.
Applications for the grant are submitted to the International Division. The traineeship must also be approved by the relevant department or faculty contact person. This approval is given through the signature of the Learning Agreement for Traineeships, which must be attached to the grant application.
Applications are not accepted if the planned start is within six weeks. Students are encouraged to submit their applications at least three months before the planned start.
Students who plan to go on a traineeship must register at UI as normal and pay the registration fee. Students going on a traineeship after graduation are exempt from this.
