Abstract

My research focuses primarily on playwrights from the Restoration (1660-1689) and eighteenth-century. I have also worked on inheritance and gender in eighteenth-century fiction. I am particularly interested in women writers, such as Aphra Behn, Margaret Cavendish, and Frances Burney. My research often focuses on gender and performance. I write creatively, mainly poetry and children's stories. I have supervised BA and MA creative writing projects (including short story collections and novels). My book Women's Wit on the Early Modern Stage will soon be published with University of Delaware Press (October 2026). I am currently researching asides in Restoration drama using key word analysis and editing a new edition of William Wycherley's comedy The Country Wife (1675) with Bloomsbury.
