The Human Genome Structural Variation Consortium will meet at the University of Iceland on May 20. The following seminars will be open to the public, and we encourage everyone to attend and hear the latest about genome structural variants.
Agenda - 30 minutes each
- "Genetic & epigenetic variation of centromeres in nearly complete human genomes” - Glennis Logsdon (University of Pennsylvania, USA)
- “A familial, telomere-to-telomere reference for human de novo mutation and recombination from a four-generation pedigree” - David Porubsky (University of Washington, USA and EMBL Heidelberg, Germany)
- "Long-read sequencing and structural variant characterization in 1,019 samples from the 1000 Genomes Project" - Samarendra Pani (Heinrich Heine University, Germany)
- "Structural Variation at Scale: ~13,500 Long-Read Genomes from the All of Us Research Program" - Kiran Garimella (Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, USA)
The seminars take place at the Edda building on campus, room E103, from 14:00-16:00.
