Audna provides professional evaluations of scientists' inventions, oversees the submission of patent applications and follows up on projects in the hands of entrepreneurs, investors and the business world at home and abroad, among other things by drawing up utility license agreements and assisting in the establishment of start-up companies.
Objectives
Audna's goal is that the products of science return to society and thus create value, new jobs, products, services, sustainable solutions and social benefits to strengthen our competitiveness among nations.
Auðna works with the Intellectual Property Committee of the University of Iceland and Landspítala.

The University of Iceland and Landspítali together with other universities and public research institutes, the Ministry of Employment and Innovation, the Ministry of Education and University of Iceland Science Park are members of Auðna - tæknitorgi ehf. who works on technology transfer for the scientific community.
