Innovation through gamification solutions – (InnoGS)

Opening new paths for youth through innovation, play, and digital collaboration

InnoGS (Innovation through Gamification Solutions) develops place-based digital innovation ecosystems to support inclusion, skills development, and talent retention in rural and remote regions. Using gamified approaches, the project connects local actors and scales solutions across borders through an international collaboration platform.

The InnoGS project is a collaborative journey across five countries, united by a shared commitment to the innovation ecosystems in Arctic rural areas.

At heart, our vision is to open up for diverse entrepreneurial paths to youth in rural areas through game thinking.

We explore game thinking and gamification not just as competition systems, but as storytelling, role-playing, communication platforms and immersive engagement.

Rather than creating new solutions from scratch, InnoGS facilitates new types of collaboration—bringing together partners from universities, rural municipalities, creative hubs, and the game industry. We aim to learn from each other, uplift existing talents, and foster new ones by exploring how game thinking and digital innovation can inspire inclusive, engaging, and sustainable development.

  • Are you a game enthusiast waiting to discover entrepreneurship?
  • Are you a game developer waiting to share your know-how with unexpected audiences?
  • Are you an entrepreneur with a digital solution waiting to incorporate game thinking into your solution?

InnoGS is about creating space for creativity to flourish, for youth to feel empowered, and for communities to grow stronger through shared ideas and playful exploration.

We anticipate seeing innovators embrace game thinking to solve real-world challenges, while young game enthusiasts master entrepreneurial skills and build viable futures in their home villages.
