    On Saturday, January 18, Mariola Alicja Fiema, a Polish language teacher and lecturer of Polish Studies at the University of Iceland, will present the third of four lectures in the series "Poland in 4 Seasons,” dedicated to winter.

    In this series of four informal lectures, Mariola Alicja Fiema will present exceptional tourist attractions in Poland that captivate visitors all year round. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the hidden treasures of the country and explore its natural beauty and cultural diversity.

    The upcoming event is dedicated for anyone curious about how Christmas is celebrated in a traditional Polish home, as well as how Poles welcome the New Year and enjoy the festive carnival season.

    Winter activity enthusiasts can look forward to a journey along Poland's southern border to showcase the sports and recreational infrastructure of the mountainous regions, as well as the diverse opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors in a stunning winter landscape.

    The event will also offer an opportunity to explore Poland's culturally and ethnically diverse southern regions, rich in fascinating customs and history. These areas stand out for their unique attractions, remarkable landmarks like mines or historic castles, and exceptional local delicacies, promising unforgettable experiences for all visitors.

    The events will take place in the lecture hall of the National Museum of Iceland.

    Each lecture in the series focuses on one season:

    Poland in 4 Seasons: Summer – 21st of September 2024, 10:30
    Poland in 4 Seasons: Autumn – 23rd of November 2024, 10:30
    Poland in 4 Seasons: Winter – 18th of January 2025, 10:30
    Poland in 4 Seasons: Spring – 15th of March 2025, 10:30
