For bachelor's level
  • Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) / Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) / Intermediate Examination / Intermediate Certificate / Diploma of Faculty of Arts or Science (FA/FSc) / Certificate/Diploma/Intermediate in Commerce

PLUS:

  • before 2005: + 2 years of higher education studies
  • after 2005: + 1 year of higher education studies

Documentation requirements

All academic transcripts and diploma(s) must be attested by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The authenticity of your qualifications will be verified with HEC.

Have a copy of your original Degree Certificate and Transcript of Grades attested by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and then you attach your documents to the online application as PDF with the stamp from HEC clearly visible. In that way, the University of Iceland can verify the authenticity of your documents.

For master's level

For entry to a master's programme the minimum requirement is a 4-year Bachelor's degree or a Bachelor's degree + 1 year Master.

The admission requirement for most study programs at the University of Iceland at the graduate level is to have finished a bachelor's degree with a first-class grade average (7.25). Translation requirements

Documents in the original language, as well as an official English translation, are required.
If your school issues your transcripts in English, these can be accepted.

English proficiency

Having studied at a university in Pakistan where the language of instruction was English does not fulfill the English proficiency requirements.

Proof of English proficiency must be provided.
