Start by logging into the Online Learning Agreement (OLA) system. Click 'Log in with MyAcademicID'  and use your UI email address (user-name-in-ugla@hi.is).

Do not select 'Log in with Google' or use other personal emails.

Then choose the mobility type:

Undergraduate and graduate students going on short-term mobilities should choose:

  • Blended Mobility with Short-term Physical Mobility


PhD students should choose:

  • Short-term Doctoral Mobility
How to fill in the form

Fill in the information that is missing, for example: 

  • Field of Education
  • Study Cycle - level of studies 

Add information about UI, which is your sending institution. 

"Sending Responsible Person" - this is the international coordinator at your faculty. List of international coordinators.

You also need to enter information about the sending Administrative Contact Person:

Enter information about the host university. Note that the names of the host universities in the drop-down list are their legal names and may be in the language of the host country.

The Receiving Responsible Person is the person at the host university who signs the Learning Agreement on their behalf.

The host institution should provide information on who this person is. We recommend that students search for information pages for incoming exchange students on the host university websites. If you can't find out who the responsible person is, contact the host university.

If the host university has an additional contact managing the student exchange, that person can be named as the Receiving Administrative Contact Person.

Add information about the course at the host university and how credits will be transferred to the University of Iceland.
You will need to enter the following information:

  • Course title
  • Component code
  • Number of ECTS credits to be recognised by the University of Iceland
  • Short description of the virtual component of the course
  • Language of instruction
  • Language of competence of the language of instruction

The final step is to sign the agreement. 

Sign with the computer mouse or your finger, if you are signing on your phone or tablet. 

Once you have signed, click 'Sign and send the Online Learning Agreement to the Responsible person at the Sending Institution for review'. The agreement will then be sent to your faculty.
