- Senior School Certificate / West African Senior School Certificate Examination + 1 year of higher education studies.
OR
- National Diploma from an accredited higher education institution
OR
- Nigerian Certificate of Education combined with University Board Matriculation Examination (UME)
Documentation requirements
You need to ask your institution/s to send a confirmation of your graduation with your GPA to transcript@hi.is
Please note that this email must come from an official email address that is verifiable on the school’s website, and from a staff member with the authority to issue transcripts on behalf of the institution.
The subject of the e-mail should be - VERIFICATION: [Name of student]
Please note that emails from Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail or similar addresses are not accepted.
- A four-year bachelor's degree meets the minimum entry requirements.
Please note that the Higher National Diploma (HND) is not considered comparable to a bachelor's degree.

Documents in the original language, as well as an official English translation, are required.
If your school issues your transcripts in English, these can be accepted.
Proof of English proficiency must be provided.
Having studied at a university in Nigeria where the language of instruction was English does not fulfil the English proficiency requirements.
