    Disability Rights and Digital Transformation in Icelandic Public Services

    The research explores how disabled people experience the digital transformation of public services in Iceland and how it influences their ability to access rights and participate fully in society, as discussed in the CRPD. It aims to examine how the digital transformation of public services aligns with the goals of the CRPD regarding digital rights and accessibility.

    The evaluation is in two parts: First the doctoral student ‘s presentation of her report at 1 to 2 pm in Stakkahlíð, room K-102. The presentation is open to postgraduate students and staff of the School of Education. The presentation will also be on Zoom: https://eu01web.zoom.us/j/63963228169                               

    Secondly, a review meeting for a discussion of the report. The meeting is open only to the doctoral student and the evaluation committee. The purpose of the evaluation is twofold, as the rules of the Doctoral School indicate: To evaluate the doctoral student‘s competence in conducting the proposed doctoral research project and to provide her with feedback to do this as well as may be.

    External examiners are Dr Darren Chadwick Senior Lecturer of Applied Social & Community Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University, UK, Dr Kristofer Hansson Senior Lecturer at the Department of Social Work at the University of Malmö, Sweden, the lead supervisor Dr Ingólfur Ásgeir Jóhannesson Professor Emeritus at the School of Education, University of Iceland, co-supervisor Dr Laufey Elísabet Löve Assistant Professor at the School of Education, University of Iceland. Dr Annadís G. Rúdólfsdóttir Professor at School of Education is heading the evaluation committee and will conduct the evaluation meeting and Sigrún Sif Eyfeld Jóelsdóttir will act as secretary.
