The aim of this research is to investigate disabled women’s experience choosing motherhood in Iceland and to explore how normative concepts of happiness, a good future and a proper neoliberal citizen, align to and affect disabled women in motherhood.  Furthermore, to explore how society’s anxiety about reproducing disability affects the mothers’ choices.
