The Wage Index of Statistics Iceland

We present the method of calculating the wage price index at Statistics Iceland. We evaluate both its strengths and weaknesses, including biases and the effects of quality adjustments. We describe new developments regarding its production and analysis and discuss sub/supplementary indices which illustrate different aspects of the wage dynamics.
