A web-based solution for finding clues to disorders and diseases by analysing speech samples; a virtual reality ice cave; computer-like vision into the human brain; digital twins; and social interaction without digital intermediaries. This is only a part of what will be on display at the University of Iceland’s area at the UTmessa Tech Day on February 7 in Harpa.

The UTmessa Tech Day takes place on February 7 between 11 and 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome, and admission is free. There, guests can experience diverse technological innovations and research in information technology and try their hand at a variety of activities.

The University of Iceland’s exhibition area in Silfurberg will be packed with activities featuring staff and students from the university’s diverse fields of study, presenting projects and innovations they’re currently working on.

The annual University of Iceland Design Competition will also take place, as in previous years.

The UTmessa has been held annually for the last 15 years, and its goal is to promote key trends and developments in the computer and tech worlds for both professionals and the public. The conference is divided into parts and takes place on February 6 and 7.

Please see the full programme for UTmessa on its website.
