The symposium Art Education for the Climate will be held at the Nordic House on 7 February 2026. The event brings together perspectives on art education and climate awareness, inspired by the exhibition Ripples: Shifting Realities in the Arctic.

The Arctic is changing rapidly due to climate change. This symposium connects art education with environmental awareness, inspired by the exhibition Ripples, Shifting Realities in the Arctic, where artists explore shifting realities in the North and remind us that small actions matter.

Organisers: Ásthildur B. Jónsdóttir and Hanna Ólafsdóttir
Partners: FÍMK, Iceland University of the Arts, School of Education (University of Iceland), and ASAD.

Further information about the programme is available on the Nordic House website.
