Research impact

Dr Utsa Mukherjee Senior Lecturer & Director of Research at Brunel University in London visits School of Education at the end of May and hosts a workshop on research impact.

In this workshop, we will explore what research impact looks like. Specifically, the focus will be on the benefit that academic research can bring to non-academic communities, stakeholders and the society at large. We will look at (i) different kinds of non-academic impact, (ii) impact pathways, (iii) difference between research engagement and research impact, and (iv) ways of capturing and evaluating the non-academic impact of our research. We will also reflect on why non-academic impact matters and why researchers should think about this area of work.
