Would you like to see insects up close? Insects make up the earth's most diverse class of animals, and insects in Iceland have increased in recent years for various reasons. Will we find mosquitoes or sand flies?

Ólafur Patrick Ólafsson, University lecturer in biology, and Gísli Már Gíslason, professor emeritus in limnology at the University of Iceland, and of Iceland's leading experts in insects, will lead the hike and teach participants about insects along with biology students at the University.

Please bring containers and magnifying glasses if possible. Remember to pack lunch!

    Duration: 2-3 hours

Everyone is welcome and admission is free. No registration, just show up!

Meeting point: at 18:00 at the old power station by the Elliðaá river.
