    The Creative Industries Research Center (RSG), in collaboration with CCP, invites you to a discussion on creative industries on Thursday, January 9th from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the CCP offices at Bjargargata 1, 102 Reykjavik. The topic of this meeting is Creative Research Methods. The meeting will be held in English and the presentations will be streamed here on this Facebook event.

    Bergur Finnbogason, artistic director at CCP, will talk about CCP's collaboration with various international research institutions and how methods of the gaming industry have benefited them. Viðar Halldórsson, sociology professor at the University of Iceland, will focus on the importance of social atmosphere, in the form of social magic, which he has analyzed through visual sociology in his book Unveiling the Invisible. Katrín Ólína Pétursdóttir, designer and Head of Design Department of IUA, will explore the evolution of Primitiva, a jewellery design project that blends creativity and machine precision, and share how years of experimentation and storytelling shaped her symbolic jewellery collection.
    Following the presentations, attendees are invited to participate in a discussion on the subject.

    Dialogue on Creative Industries is a series of informal meetings organized by RSG in collaboration with CCP. Through this series, RSG aims to create a forum for discussion among those interested in creative industries by connecting stakeholders from the private sector, academia, as well as institutions and government, and thereby promoting the dialogue on culture and creative industries.
