Byr

The exhibition Byr draws inspiration from the life and work of Vigdís Finnbogadóttir. The works of master’s students in Art and Design Education reflect her enduring influence and the spirit of respect, care, and courage that continues to inspire new generations.

Visitors are invited to explore diverse artworks emerging from the students’ own creative and research-based processes - from visual art and installations to text, video, and sculptural pieces.

The exhibition is part of the course Idea and Development Work within Art and Design Education (Visual Art and Design & Craft)  at the University of Iceland School of Education.

We invites audiences to enter into dialogue through art at Loftskeytastöðin, a cultural venue dedicated to Vigdís Finnbogadóttir.
