Work Permit for Master Students

All masters students, citizens outside of EU/EEA area, enrolled at the University of Iceland and are offered a job in Iceland are required to apply for a work permit.

Masters students from non EU/EEA countries are allowed to work 40% - equals 15 hours per week. Work permit is always required. If working for two employers, a work permit is required for each job and the total work can never exceed the 40% limit.
