Student Orientation

An Orientation Week for International Students  is held at the beginning of the semester. The aim of the Orientation Week is to introduce students to education, practicalities and life at the University of Iceland. It is also to help you familiarize yourself with the campus, meet people and find out where to get assistance.

The School of Social Sciences places a particular emphasis on how new students are received. At the beginning of their studies, new students are invited to attend a meeting with faculty staff. The meeting serves to introduce new students to the operations of the School and the faculties and acquaint them with the services available for students.
