Our cooperation is organised into three substantive work packages and three technical work packages. Each work packages contributes in a meaningful way to the longterm vision of the Aurora Alliance. We will launch our cooperation within four pilot domains: • Sustainability & Climate Change • Digital Society & Global Citizenship • Health & Well-being • Culture: Diversity & identity What we do - the substantive work packages Work Package 3 - Aurora Learning for Societal Impact This Work Package will change educational practice so that students will be learning for demonstrable and tangible societal impact. WP 3.1.1 Aurora Competences Framework Develop and implement the Aurora Competences Framework of general academic and personal competences with progressive performance descriptors, needed to ensure students become social entrepreneurs & innovators. In addition, improve and extend the use of Service Learning and International Internships as specific Aurora pedagogical methods contributing to skills/values development. WP 3.1.2 Aurora International Internship Programme WP 3.1.3 Aurora Service Learning Programme WP 3.2.1 Aurora Social Transformation Make our student population reflect the talent in the communities we serve, without underrepresentation of any groups in our population. WP 3.3.1 Aurora Borderless Learning: Recognition & Mobility Create an Aurora Education Area with recognised mobility for all. All Aurora students have access to one set of digital services, aligned with the European Student Card and EuroPass and Aurora students can register through one Aurora course catalogue. Work Package 4 - Aurora Engaging Communities This Work Package will change educational practice so that students will be learning for demonstrable and tangible societal impact. WP 4.1 Aurora Co-creation Practice Make co-creation a generally accepted embedded practice with academics skilled in co-creation as a technique. WP 4.2 Aurora Academic Collaboration Develop academic collaboration within Aurora towards the intra-Alliance optimum, enhancing cross-fertilisation between education and research. WP 4.3 Social Entrepreneurship & Innovation Develop Social Entrepreneurship & Innovation as a common field of expertise at Alliance level. WP 4.4 Aurora Capacity Development Support Programme Narrow the gap in quality in higher education & research in different parts of Europe by supporting universities in Central and Eastern Europe and Neighbouring Countries in strengthening their capacity for academic excellence and societal relevance. WP 4.5 Aurora Institute Express and enhance the identity of the Aurora European University Alliance as an European institution in its own right, beyond the identity of the individual member universities of the Alliance. Work Package 5 - Sustainability pioneers This Work Package will change educational practice so that students will be learning for demonstrable and tangible societal impact. WP 5.1 Aurora SDG Research Dashboard Turn the SDGs into a leading narrative for research in the Aurora Alliance. We will do so by implementing the SDG Research Dashboard as a robust and operational tool, building on the existing Aurora Bibliometrics for Relevance dashboard, strengthening it with academic feedback and machine learning. WP 5.2 Aurora Sustainability Education Turn the SDGs into a leading narrative for education in the Aurora Alliance. We will do so by using the SDG Research Dashboard example to build a similar dashboard, tailored to the needs of students, showing the SDG-nature of relevant courses across Aurora. We will furthermore create a common SDG course available to all Aurora students and add an SDG perspective to regular topical courses. WP 5.3 Aurora Sustainable Campus Action Plan Make the Aurora Alliance campuses sustainable in the SDG-sense. Organisational governance, culture and operations of the Aurora universities will be refocussed and reorganised towards the ultimate objective to become fully zero carbon carbon footprint organisations. Within the Alliance good and best sustainability practices will be exchanged and where relevant implemented. How we do it - the technical work packages Work Package 1 - Management and Coordination This must be the first WP undertaken to ensure solid foundations for the follow-on learning. WP 1.1 Aurora Governance We will set up and maintain a governance structure for the Aurora Alliance, with an Aurora Alliance Board, an Aurora Alliance Management Team and mechanisms to ensure involvement of students, academics and external stakeholders (including decision and conflict resolution mechanisms). WP 1.2 Aurora Communications To ensure reciprocal information suited to the implementation of the Aurora Alliance programme with effective communication about our progress/results with internal and external stakeholders. WP 1.3 Aurora Monitoring Keep track of and ensure adequate feedback on execution of tasks and achievement of deliverables. WP 1.4 Aurora Financial Management Ensure effective, efficient, and legitimate allocation and accounting of resources. WP 1.5 Aurora Risk Management Mitigate risks and avoid risks jeopardising the overall achievement of the Aurora Alliance proposal. Work Package 2 - Quality Management This Work Package must be undertaken before the substantive learning to ensure quality throughout. WP 2.1 Aurora Quality Systems To set up an integrated quality management system, in which all work package teams and all activity teams share responsibility. WP 2.2 Aurora Quality Culture Foster a culture that enhances relevance-coherence-effectiveness-efficiency-impact-sustainability of task execution. WP 2.3 Aurora Internal Quality Monitoring All tasks, processes and deliverables are regularly assessed. WP 2.4 Aurora External Quality Monitoring Set up an external quality board for critical independent analysis and reflection. WP 2.5 Aurora Quality Enhancement Recommendations of the quality team and the external quality board are implemented in order to enhance the overall quality of the programme. Work Package 6 - Sustainability and Dissemination This WP is the last to be implemented, once there are substantive outcomes from the learning. WP 6.1 Sustainability of the Aurora Alliance programme Create the Aurora European University as a lasting institution as part of the European Education Area, by ensuring that there is a plan and preparation in place for the sharing of outcomes as well as enduring commitment to our vision and prioritisation among students, staff, leadership and external stakeholders. WP 6.2 Aurora Dissemination Plan Contributes to active sharing of good practices and experience, resulting in a growing uptake of Aurora deliverables within and outside Aurora. facebooklinkedintwitter
