As the number of programs of study in English at universities in Iceland and Europe continue to expand, most students are challenged by academic writing assignments. This workshop provides an overview of concepts teachers in secondary schools can incorporate into their upper level language classes to help students prepare for university writing tasks. The interactive workshop includes demonstrations of approaches and materials that support academic reading and writing in English.
