The University of Iceland School of Health Sciences is offering a workshop for supervisors of PhD students entitled Effective Teaching of Knowledge and Skills for Research in the Health Sciences: An Interactive Workshop for Research Supervisors
The workshop is run by Mary Codd, MD, MPH, D.Stats, FFPHMI, PhD (epidemiology and biostatistics), senior lecturer in epidemiology and biostatistics at the School of Public Health, Physiotherapy & Sports Science at University College Dublin.
Mary Codd has run several comparable courses and workshops which have been not only informative but also motivational, encouraging participants to think about their roles and methods for effective supervision. The workshop will be interactive and PhD supervisors will be given the chance to contribute and learn from others' experiences.
Young, first-time PhD supervisors are particularly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity, as well as those who are older and more experienced.
See you in the University Centre (Litla Torg), Friday 14 June at 9 am. The workshop finishes at 13.
