Maria Del Pilar C. Coello will conduct a workshop for language teachers under the title “Do what you love” – The role of emotions in foreign language teaching and learning, in Veröld - House of Vigdís, room 107 on 23 November at 10:00-12:00:
Emotions have a significant impact on the learning process; they can motivate students and foster their involvement in practising a foreign language. The aim of this workshop is to examine the role of emotions in the foreign language classroom and suggest practical activities for vocabulary and language acquisition.
The workshop is organised through the cooperation of Vigdís Finnbogadóttir Institute of Foreign Languages, STÍL - The Association of Foreign Language Teachers in Iceland and the Language Centre of the University of Iceland.
The workshop will be in English. Admission is free and no registration required.
