An interim evaluation of Auður Magndís Auðardóttir doctoral student at the School of Education

The evaluation of Auður Magndís Auðardóttir ‘s doctoral project will take place June 3rd 2019 at University of Iceland, School of Education, Stakkahlíð. The title of the proposal:

Processes of class reproduction through parental choices and practices within compulsory education in Iceland

The evaluation will be in two parts: First the doctoral student‘s presentation of her doctoral project in room K205 at 1 to 2 pm. The presentation is open to postgraduate students and staff of School of Education. Secondly an evaluation meeting for a discussion of the project.  The meeting is open only to the doctoral student and the Evaluation Committee. The language of the presentation and the meeting will be english.

The purpose of the evaluation is twofold, as the rules of the Doctoral School indicate: To evaluate the doctoral student‘s competence in conducting the proposed doctoral research project and to provide her with feedback to do this as well as may be.

The evaluation committee consist of Auður Magndís‘ s supervisors Dr. Berglind Rós Magnúsdóttir, Senior Lecturer, University of Iceland, co - supervisor Dr. Annadís Gréta Rúdólfsdóttir, Senior Lecturer, University of Iceland and two external examiners: Dr. Elisabet Öhrn Professor of Education, University of Gothenburg, Dr. Gunnlaugur Magnússon, Senior lecturer, pedagogy and special education, Uppsala University. Chair of the evaluation committee, Dr. Gestur Guðmundsson, professor at the University of Iceland, School of Education, directs the proceedings and Sólrún B. Kristinsdóttir is secretary.
