The Royal Air Force will be responsible for delivering the next NATO Air Policing mission for Iceland. They will be flying Eurofighter Typhoon jets, the RAF’s main aircraft for a range of tasks, including helping to protect and defend allied airspace.
At 1pm on 26th November, a senior Typhoon pilot and engineering officer will be visiting the Department of Engineering at the University of Iceland to talk about their roles, to explain more about the Typhoon, and to answer any questions that students may have about the aircraft and the RAF in general.
This will be a unique opportunity to engage with experts who fly and maintain one of the world’s most advanced aircraft.
