How do we reclaim our future from the fairytale of economics? Professor Jon D. Erickson will have a conversation with Katrín Oddsdóttir, and the audience, about his upcoming book “The Progress Illusion - Reclaiming Our Future from the Fairytale of Economics.”

Jon D. Erickson is a Natural Resource Economist and Professor of Sustainability Science and Policy at the University of Vermont (USA). He is also an Emmy award-winning producer of films and has published widely on energy and climate, policy, land conservation, environmental public health, and the theory and practice of ecological economics. Erickson is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Iceland and has taught a course in Ecological Economics for graduate students in Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Iceland for the past ten years.

The event is organized by the graduate program in Environment and Natural Resources and the Institute for Sustainability Studies at the University of Iceland
