The long summer of migration and solidarity with refugees in Germany.

Lecturer: Sebastian Koos is an assistant professor of politics and public administration at the University of Cologne.

The large number of refugees, who arrived in Germany since the “long” summer of 2015, has sparked strong anti-migrant sentiment, but also immense solidarity. How can we account for this unique solidarity with refugees in Germany?

The lecture is hosted by the Sociology department at the University of Iceland, the Project of excellence Mobilities and Transnational Iceland and the Icelandic Sociological Association.

Sebastian Koos, Assistant Professor of Corporate Social Responsibility at the Department of Politics and Public Administration at the University of Konstanz.
