The grant of exellence project My Favourite Things invites to an open seminar on Friday the 22nd of March in the main lecture hall at The National Museum of Iceland, titled Things Adrift - Material Archives. Among other guests Jane Bennett will be attending but she is also presenting a paper at the same location on the 21st of March.

Six scholars, all connected to the My Favourite Things project in different ways will talk about material culture from different angles. The first part of the seminar will be about objects and how they appear in the death estate inventories in the 19th and 20th century.
The second half will be about material culture theory.
