Dr. Anna Rabczuk

Once you come to Poland you will love or at least be introduced to pierogi, kiełbasa and vodka but there is far more to discover about everyday behaviors of Poles. How to have a conversation, make friends, eat and drink like a Pole, what is funny and what is not at all… The examples and observations will appeal to anyone interested in cross-cultural communications. At the end of the lecture, you can take a quiz and discover your rate of Polishness. Are you completely beginners or maybe even more Polish than the Poles?

Dr. Anna Rabczuk, Assistant Professor at the Polonicum Centre of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners at the University of Warsaw, was the head of postgraduate studies in Teaching Polish as Foreign Language. She was a visiting professor and Polish Language Coordinator at the Slavic Languages and Literatures Department at the University of Toronto (2016-2018) and taught Polish at the University of Iceland in 2015 and 2016. Anna Rabczuk is the author of a number of articles about teaching Polish to foreigners and of Polish course books for children, teenagers, and for adults.
