Gísli Már Gíslason, professor will retire from the University of Iceland at the end of February 2020. To celebrate his work and achievements, an symposium will be held to celebrate his work and research.
At the symposia several experts and coworkers of Gisli will summarize his work and contributions, in ecology, limnology, climate-science and nature conservation.
The opening remarks will be delivered by Guðmundur Ingi Guðbrandsson, Minister of the Environment and Natural Resources.
